The Story
Cadillac joined the Formula 1 grid in 2026 as the sport's eleventh team, the result of a long entry process led by the American motorsport group behind the project.
The programme is backed by General Motors, which is developing its own Formula 1 power unit for later in the regulation cycle while the team races with a customer supply at the start.
For its debut the team chose experience over youth, pairing two drivers with more than a decade of Grand Prix racing between them.
